Charles H. Parks, age 84, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Saturday morning, May 8, 2021, at his son's home in Sugarloaf under the care of hospice. Charles was a resident of Bloomsburg most of his life.

He was born on Tuesday, September 22, 1936 in Northumberland, a son of the late Ralph and Lillian Marguerite (Robbins) Parks. Charles attended the Benton High School. He faithfully served in the U.S. Army enlisting in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1957. On June 27, 1964, Charles married his loving wife, the former Marie P. Mills. For over 42 years, Charles was employed by Catawissa Lumber until his retirement. Charles was a member of the Almedia Bible Church, Bloomsburg.

In addition to his parents, Charles was also preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene Parks, Gerald Parks, and Richard Parks.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Marie P. Parks of Bloomsburg, three children, Charles H. Parks and wife Sharon formerly of Bloomsburg, Michelle M. Smith and her significant other, Scott Spaide of Millville, Stephen R. Parks and wife Chris of Sugarloaf, eight grandchildren, Bethany wife of Randy Whitenight, Dana Parks, Johnathan Smith and wife Andrea, Levi Smith, Christopher Parks, Caleb Parks, Jedediah Parks, Ethan Parks, a great grandson, Parker Smith, and a brother, Ralph Parks of Stillwater.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will begin on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Elder Robin Houser, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Military honors will be performed by the combined American Legion and V.F.W. Honor Guard. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Parks family.
