Obituary

Charles S. "Chuck" Low, age 72, of Orangeville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at The Gardens at Orangeville. He was born on April 13, 1952 in Bloomsburg to the late Zehnder Sloan Low, Sr. and Patricia (Pursel) Low.

Chuck grew up in Orangeville and graduated from Central Columbia High School class of 1971. After graduation Chuck worked for his father at Low's Furniture and Appliance Store, Orangeville and Bloomsburg. Chuck was a member of the Orangeville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed music, was an avid fan of the Phillies, Eagles and all Central Columbia High School sports. He was a member of the Orangeville Volunteer Fire Department, helped at the Orangeville Carnival and helped his father at his beloved Bloomsburg Fair. Chuck will always be remembered by those who knew him best for his unique memory and his concern and care for family and friends.

Chuck is survived by his sister Beth L. White, Lititz, several nieces, nephews and cousins Nathan Low, Jamison City, Zora Low, Hunlock Creek, Gaia Laidacker Harvey, Bloomsburg, Gabriel Harvey, Elizabethtown, Scott Smith, Georgia, Sue Smith, Cincinnati, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Zehnder S. Low, Jr., two sisters Joan R. Laidacker and Nancy R. Smith and a niece Nancy L. Harvey. He was a wonderful special son, brother, uncle and cousin to all of us. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the nurses at the Gardens at Orangeville and Commonwealth Hospice of Berwick for their compassion and care.

Graveside Services will begin on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Orangeville. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Low family.
