Charles A. "Chaz" Ulshaffer, age 62, of Bloomsburg, passed away unexpectedly at his home after some recent medical issues on Saturday, September 30, 2023. He was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg.
Chaz was born on Friday, August 4, 1961 in Danville, a son of the late William R. and Nancy K. (Kranik) Ulshaffer. He graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1979. Chaz expanded his education by attending Williamsport Area Community College now known as Penn College of Technology and graduated earning two associate degrees. Chaz was employed by The Bloomsburg Machine Shop with his father William Ulshaffer and later with Dana Corporation, when he had to stop working for medical reasons. Chaz was a big man with a kind soul, he could talk to anyone about anything. He was an avid motorcyclist. In his younger years you could find him at a biker's rally, partying and drag racing with the best of them. Chaz enjoyed spending his time riding, building and rebuilding motorcycles. You could often find him in the garage at late hours just tinkering around. He enjoyed his Monday lunches and fixing things as well as attending engine shows with lifelong best friend. Chaz adored his grandsons, they meant the world to him. His wild stories and humorous laugh will be missed.
Survivors include his two daughters; Kelly C. Heuermann and husband Peter of Bloomsburg, Aimee Neiswender and husband Justin Lynn of Renovo, three grandsons; Chase Crawford, Jude Heuermann, Evan Heuermann, all of Bloomsburg.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Ulshaffer family.
