Catherine Elaine McGaw, age 82, of Orangeville, died on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at her Greenwood Township home.
Catherine was born on Tuesday, May 21, 1935 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah (Varner) McGaw. Throughout her younger years, Catherine attended the Bloomsburg area schools and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1953.
For many years, Catherine was employed by Baranol & Roselon as a Seamstress until her retirement in 1993. She enjoyed spending her time reading, completing cross word puzzles, and spending time with family, especially her great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was also preceded by 11 siblings: Margaret Wanda Swartz, Donna McGaw, Flora McGaw, Harry McGaw, Fred McGaw, Norman McGaw, Frank McGaw, Thomas McGaw, Carl McGaw, Robert McGaw, and Samuel McGaw.
Survivors include her daughter: Tammy Sue McGaw of Unityville; granddaughters: Amy Welliver of Unityville and Jessika Welliver of Havertown, PA: great grandchildren: Adrian Lindsay, Allsun Lindsay, and Drew Chilson.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg. Friends and family will also be received on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the McGaw family.
