Carolyn Ann (Warnke) Strausser-Cragle, age 70, of Bloomsburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

She was born on leap day, February 29, 1952, in Stillwater, PA, a daughter of the late Fredrick Henry and Anna Elizabeth (Hittle) Warnke. Carolyn attended Bloomsburg area schools and graduated from Columbia Montour Vo Tech in 1970. Her caring nature and love of service became apparent early, serving in the Girl Scouts and volunteering as a "Pinkie" at the Bloomsburg Hospital. She would go on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, giving over 40 years of her professional life to caring for others in nursing homes. She passed her lifelong love of reading on to her children, and enjoyed going to festivals and fairs, especially in the fall. Lest you believe she was too gentle and meek, Carolyn also loved jamming out at the occasional hard rock concert.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her first husband Raymond Ambrose Strausser, Jr., with whom she raised their children, her second husband David Leroy Cragle, with whom she spent several happy years in Florida, and her brother Russell Cox of North Carolina.

She was survived by her son William "Scott" Strausser of Salt Lake City, UT, and daughter Rebecca A. Strausser-Duer of Bloomsburg.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
