Carol Ann (Evert) Ent, age 83, of Bloomsburg, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on Saturday, April 16, 2022. She was born March 14, 1939, the daughter of the late Samuel H. and Dorothy W. Evert. In her early years she lived in Kulpmont, PA as well as Richmond, VA, eventually residing in Bloomsburg the majority of her life. She graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1957. Carol was a member of the Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Bloomsburg. She was an active member and served as president of the Junior Women's Club and Bloomsburg Band Boosters.

Besides her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her son Joey Ent in February 2013. Survivors include two daughters: Deborah Ward and husband Chris of Eden, MD; and Sandra Gottstein and husband Kevin of Bloomsburg, PA. She is also survived by three grandsons, one granddaughter, and two great grandsons: Brandon Gottstein along with Lindsey Ward, Trinity FL; Andrew Gottstein along with Erica Hogue, and their two sons, Easton and Kason Gottstein of Bloomsburg, PA; Kyle Ward of Millsboro, DE; and Chelsea Ward of Salisbury, MD.

Additional survivors include two brothers and one sister: Harry S. Evert and his wife Lynn of Palm City, FL; Samuel H. Evert, Jr. and his wife Janie of Scottsdale, AZ.; and Sandra E. Giunta of Brooklyn, NY; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Also acknowledged are the wonderful caregivers who truly became a part of Carol's family while caring for her.

She was known for her warm, caring heart and welcoming hospitality in her home, always encouraging lots of laughter and enjoying life to the fullest with family and many friends.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg. Friends and family will also be received on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, 260 East 7th St., Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will begin on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ with Rev. Steven C. Hummel, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Ent family.
