Carlton W. Price, Jr., age 70, of Bloomsburg, died on Thursday afternoon, January 22, 2015 at his home in Scott Township.
Carlton was born on Thursday, July 20, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of the late Carlton W. and Thelma (Leidner) Price, Sr. Throughout his younger years, Carlton attended the Baltimore City College High School. Immediately following his education, Carlton enlisted with the United States Army where he served his country faithfully with the 7th Division Artillery HQ Battery during the Vietnam War. After returning home, Carlton married his loving wife, the former Christina Jenkins on November 13, 1966. Most recently, Carlton was employed by Swift Transportation driving national deliveries until his retirement in 2006.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Christina Jenkins, of Bloomsburg; a daughter: Nicole M. Fritz of Lightstreet; three sons: Todd M. Price and wife, Christina, of New Freedom, PA; Scott C. Price of Villa, NJ; and Tyler Price of Bloomsburg; five grandchildren: Amanda, Zachary, Damian, Logan and Taylor Bell-Mae; and a great-granddaughter: Madisun.
At the request of the family, there will be no public services at this time. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Price family.
