Burnis B. "Bo" Barton, age 69, of 54 Oak Lane, Berwick, died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at his home in North Centre Twp. Bo had been in failing health for several years.Mr. Barton was born on Thursday, March 7, 1940 in Martha Gap, VA a son of the late Earl James and Versie Woods Barton. He was a peace time veteran having served in the U.S. Army from 1957 through1959. He was an avid fisherman. Bo was last employed at Alexander Family Pontiac. He retired in 2002. Survivors include his wife of 38 years: Genevieve Bacon Barton; six children: Regina Pope and husband, Reggie, of Berwick; Faith Weaver and husband, Elmer, of Bloomsburg; Michelle Hays and husband, John, of Elysburg; Burnida Miller of Danville; Robert Barton and wife Stacy of Millville and Billy Barton and wife, Stacey, of Bloomsburg; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; one brother: Dale Barton of Davenport, VA and step-mother: Bonnie Barton of Davenport, VA. Bo was preceded in death by several siblings.            Graveside services with military honors will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge, with Rev. Allen F. Acor officiating.
