Bonita R. Kile, age 75, a resident of Hemlock Township, died Thursday, October 26, 2017, in the care of Maria Hall Hospice.
Bonita was born April 6, 1942 in Lewisburg, PA a daughter of the late John F. and Anna (Zeigler) Wehr. She was a 1960 graduate of the Millville High School.
For over 50 years, Bonita was an active member of the former Faith Bible Church, currently Sovereign Grace Fellowship. She was a former Sunday School teacher, treasurer, pianist, Bible School teacher, church librarian, Good News Club leader and nursery worker.
As a volunteer at Geisinger Medical Center she was a baby cuddlier. She was a Millville Cub Scout leader and she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, tatting, reading, gardening (especially raising strawberries). Most of all Bonita enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was particularly accomplished at baking and canning.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years: Harlan E. Kile; three sons: Jon E. Kile and wife, Karen, of Reading, Christopher E. Kile of Unityville and Matthew L. Kile and wife, Jill, of Virginville, five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a brother: Alan Wehr and wife, Linda, of Mifflinburg.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 107 West Main St., Millville, PA 17846.
Private Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, at the funeral home with her pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Millville Cemetery. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to be serving the Kile family.
