Obituary

Beverly J. Aungst, age 70, of Jefferson St., Bloomsburg, died on Friday, April 22, 2011 at her home. She had been in ill health since 2007. She was a resident of Jefferson St. for 36 years and had previously lived on West Main St., Bloomsburg and also in Buckhorn. Beverly was born on Saturday, April 5, 1941 in Bethlehem, a daughter of the late Millard R. and Bernice Hartman McQuay.
In 1958, Beverly graduated from the Bloomsburg High School. For many years she was employed by Dr. Pepper of Bloomsburg and was last employed by Dr. Neiderheiser as a receptionist. She was a member of the First English Baptist Church and was also a social member of the Muncy VFW where she enjoyed dancing with her husband.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 51 years: Thomas R. Aungst; a son: Robert T. Aungst and wife, Sherry, of Bloomsburg; a daughter: Beth Hersant and husband, Richard, of Norwich, England; three grandchildren: Amelia Hersant, Matthew Hersant and Mason Aungst. She was the last member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by a sister: Helen Levan.
Private Graveside Services will be held in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy at the convenience of the family. Rev. Lee Barnhardt will officiate. The Allen Funeral Home of 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg is caring for the Aungst family.
