Betty M. Zettles , age 91, of Orangeville, died on Friday, June 15, 2018, a patient of the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. Betty was a resident of her home in Scott Township for over 30 years.
Betty was born on Sunday, May 1, 1927 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Fred C. and Mable B. (Laycock) Stewart. Throughout her younger years, Betty attended the Bloomsburg Normal School. On January 7, 1946, Betty married her loving husband, Russel D. Zettles. Russel died August 24, 1994. She enjoyed spending her time crocheting and doing crafts, including adult coloring books.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was also preceded by four siblings: Dorothy Arnold, Barbara Gipple, Walter Stewart, and Fred "Stew" Stewart.
Survivors include three children: Bonnie S. Beagle and husband, Ervin, of Orangeville, Mary E. Cox and husband, Raymond, of Mechanicsburg, and Teddy Zettles and companion, Barbie Lynn, of Berwick; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a sister, Ethel Sweitzer of Orangeville.
Graveside Services will begin on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 10:30 am at the New Rosemont Cemetery with Rev. Scott Lyons officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Zettles family.
