Obituary
Betty Jane Rush, age 84, of Bloomsburg and formerly of New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023.
Betty was born on Tuesday, March 1, 1938 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Henry and Rose (Rossi) Yale. She graduated from the Washington High School in NJ. For over 20 years, she was employed by Central Palsy of NJ as a Respite Aide until her retirement. She enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Andrew Rush, her ex-husband, Gerald Lee Rush, Sr., as well as four siblings: Marie, Topper, Bobby and Chummer.
Survivors include her three children: Linda Rush-Marcera of Bloomsburg, PA, Gerald Lee Rush, Jr. and wife Lori, of Flemington, NJ, Anthony Albert Rush of Washington, NJ; four grandchildren, Alissa A. Deitterick and husband Michael of Bloomsburg, PA, Chris A. Marcera and wife Katie of Bloomsburg, PA, Rebecca Rush of Washington, NJ, Robbie Rush of Washington, NJ, two great-grandchildren, Jasmine Deitterick and Carter Marcera all of Bloomsburg, a son-in-law, Rick Marcera of Orangeville, and one sister Beverly Rush.
Private Services will be at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth St. Bloomsburg, is honored to be serving the Rush family.
