Betty J. Daise, age 93, of Bloomsburg, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 18, 2021, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Betty resided at Vintage Knolls, Danville having moved there from Bloomsburg in 2018.

She was born on Sunday, May 22, 1927 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Frank and Blanche (Chamberlain) Andrews. Betty graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1945. In November, 1948, Betty married her loving husband, George J. Daise who preceded her in death on February 1, 1996. She was actively involved in the lives of all of her grandchildren and very proud of all of her great grandchildren. She was an accomplished knitter and an avid Penn State Football fan having season tickets for a number of years. She bowled with friends and her late husband, George in various leagues over the years. She was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg and sang in the choir.


In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl Andrews.

Survivors include her three beloved children; Thomas L. Daise and wife Sheila of Mechanicsburg, Carla J. wife of Gary Miller of Murrells Inlet, SC, Sue A. wife of David Allen of Bloomsburg, eight grandchildren, Christine Buchanan, Heather De Silvio, Joyelle Johnson, Nicklaus J Daise, Andrew P. Daise, Amanda Allen, Tyler Allen, Brittany Bower, and twelve great grandchildren.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will begin on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Creveling Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Daise family.
