Betty Jane "BJ" (Daubert) Wolf, age 95, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, a resident of Heather Court, Nottingham Village in Northumberland. BJ was a resident of Bloomsburg for over 70 years.
She was born on Tuesday, November 10, 1925 in Milton, a daughter of the late Grant and Anne (Lloyd) Daubert. BJ graduated from the Milton High School in 1944. BJ worked with her first husband, John L. Wolf to develop Wolf Hollow Farms. They enjoyed working together and vacationing in Florida until his death in 1989. In the early days, BJ raised six children in addition to running Wolf's Hatchery and later Wolf Hollow Farms. Her real joy came in running Wolf Hollow Golf Center and Wolfeys' Pizza Den. BJ enjoyed music and entertaining the public. Her zest for entertaining was evident early in life; as a teen she worked during the summer as a Dancing Peanut Girl for Planters Peanuts on the New Jersey board walk. She came up with the idea to host birthday parties in the 1980s' at Wolfey's and took pleasure in singing "Happy Birthday" to generations of children until Wolfey's closed in 2004. She became known as "BJ the party lady".
She followed the life and careers of many of her young employees. Years after being widowed, BJ attended a wedding for one of the employees and reconnected with an old friend, Woodrow "Woody" Wolfe, Sr. They went on to marry in 1998 and enjoyed twelve happy years together before his death in 2010. BJ was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, Bloomsburg. In addition to her work, BJ volunteered with the Bloomsburg Hospital Auxilliary, partied with members of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed attending "good ole boys" events with Woody and was a member of the Penn State Alumni Association. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. The family asks that you follow BJ's favorite saying "take time to smell the flowers."
In addition to her parents, and her two husbands, BJ was also preceded in death by a daughter Connie J. Wolf, two sisters, Alverna "Sissy" Rowe, Dolores "Dolly" Daubert, and two brothers, Robert Daubert, Phillip Daubert.
