Bettejean M. Buckley, age 92, died on Thursday, October 3, 2019, a resident of Grandview Health and Rehab, Danville.
Bettejean was born on Thursday, October 7, 1926 in Wilkes Barre, a daughter of the late George N. and Elizabeth A. (Gallagher) Shiffer.
On June 25, 1953, Bettejean married her loving husband, Dennis J. Buckley Sr. who died June 2, 2002.
She was employed by Bell Telephone until her retirement.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bettejean was also preceded by son, Kevin Buckley on December 14, 2006.
Survivors include her three children: Dennis J. Buckley, Jr. of Harrisburg, Thomas Buckley and wife, Celeste, of Francestown, NH, and Mary McCarthy and husband, Edward, of Berwick and three granddaughters: Lauren Buckley, Melissa Milloway and Mallory Milloway. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Graveside committal will be held in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Buckley family.
