Bette H. Gray, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019, a resident of the The Gardens at Orangeville. Bette was a resident of her Scott Twp. home for many years.
She was born in Wilkes Barre, a daughter of the late H. Stanley and B. Ione (Golder) Hess. Throughout her younger years, Bette attended the Benton area schools, and later graduated from the Benton High School. She was married for 48 years to her loving husband, Donald L. Gray, who preceded her in death on October 25, 1992. Bette was a self employed beautician for many years and was a member of the Faith Bible Church, Orangeville.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bette was also preceded by two sisters, June Sones, and Shirley J. Fulmer, and a brother, Budd D. Hess.
Survivors include her two children, a daughter, Donette Gray of Palm Coast, FL, and a son, Scott D. Gray and wife Cathy of Millville, seven grandchildren, Josette Wagner, Danielle Mendez, Ashley Hampton, Maxwell Rees, Dorthea Morgan, Andrew Gray, and Donald Gray, five great grandchildren, and a sister, Kathleen "Kay" Mausteller of Rupert.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Paul C. Converse, Sr., pastor of Christian Gospel Fellowship, Iola, officiating. Private burial in Lightstreet Highland Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Gray family.
