Bernard D. Musselman, age 88, of Shickshinny, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, a resident of the Gardens of Orangeville. He was a resident of his home in Huntington Twp. for over 10 years and prior to that he lived in Buckhorn for over 46 years.
Bernard was born on Tuesday, September 17, 1935, in Main Twp, a son of the late Raymond Musselman and Beatrice (Krum) Shultz. He attended the former Catawissa School. On July 6, 1957, Bernard married his loving spouse, the former Mary Lou Sponenberg. For many years, he was owner and operator of Musselman Auto Body, Buckhorn until his retirement in 1991. Bernard enjoyed spending his time motorcycling, hunting and fixing lawn mowers.
In addition to his parents, Bernard was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Melvin Shultz, his son, Todd Musselman and daughter in law, Michelle Musselman.
Survivors include his beloved spouse of 68 years, Mary Lou Musselman of Shickshinny; five children: Joan Houser and husband Robin of Mifflinville, Dean Musselman and wife Marjorie of Bloomsburg, Lisa Harvey of Bloomsburg, Scott Musselman and wife Tracey of Shickshinny, Jeni Hassel of Millville; 13 grandchildren: Sylvia, Naomi, Dean II, Robert, Danielle, Kristin, Sabrina, Sarah, Samantha, Robert, Brittany, Tyler and Jordan; three step grandchildren: Donnette, NeLea and Josiah; and twenty great grandchildren.
Graveside committal services will be Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10:00 am in Elan Memorial Park, 5595 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg with Rev. Michael Spagnuolo, Catawissa Christian Church, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Musselman family.
