Belva L. Lynn, age 94, of Catawissa, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 1, 2022, a patient of the Bloomsburg Care and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on Thursday, November 17, 1927 in Shickshinny, a daughter of the late Ray and Ruth Chapin. Belva attended the Shickshinny School District. Belva married her loving husband, Harry Donald Lynn who preceded her in death on December 6, 1984. Belva was employed by Regal & Emenee Sewing Factory and Baranol Sewing Company until her retirement in 1989. At 16, she started working at local shirt factories from where she retired after working over 40 years and later was employed at Pine Barn Inn in the housekeeping department and Paper Magic Card Factory in Elysburg. She was a member of St. John's Community Church, Catawissa. She had a love for reading her bible and taught bible school for many of her early years. She was also known for her great sewing skills.

Belva will be remembered as a very kind person who was always there to help others. As a young lady, Belva was a standout rollerskater, performing at roller rinks around the area with her skating outfits that she hand-made. Belva attended the Catawissa Senior Center daily and enjoyed playing card games and bingo and socializing with many other older adults. Belva will be greatly missed by her family and many friends she made over the years.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Donald, Belva was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heidi L. Dombroski on August 28, 2018, as well as four siblings.

Survivors include her two children; a daughter, Debra E. Dombroski and husband James of Catawissa, a son, William D. Lynn of Bloomsburg, three grandchildren; Heather L. Long and husband Nick of Catawissa, Corissa A. Dombroski of Bloomsburg, Brianne Peters of Bloomsburg, six great-grandchildren; Collyn Long, Naithan Long, Adam Barnes, Madisyn Long, Serena Matthews, James Matthews, as well as several nieces and cousins.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will begin on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Charles Swank, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Lynn family.
