Obituary

Barbara Ohl, age 74, of Danville, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born on Wednesday, April 14, 1943 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Clyde Ohl and Catherine (Kotosky) Savage. Throughout her younger years, Barbara attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1961.
For over 25 years, Barbara was employed by Merck as a Chemical Operator until her retirement in 2005. She was a member of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg. She was also a member of the Danville Moose, Continental, East End and Washies Fire Co's. all of Danville, Danville Post 40 American Legion, Ft. McClure Post 804 VFW, Danville Post 298 VFW and Girabaldi Club and Maria Assunta both of Berwick.
Barbara enjoyed spending her time with family, especially with her grandchildren; she never missed a baseball game or family activity. She was an avid cat lover; she took in many stray cats. She was known as an accomplished Pinochle player and and was a faithful friend.
Survivors include her step mother: Louise Ohl of Bloomsburg; two children: Todd Remley and Danielle Parri and husband, Joseph, all of Danville; grandchildren: Adam Parri and fiance, Cathy Pappas, Kayla Parri, Hannah Remley and Olivia Remley; great granddaughter: Stella Parri; two siblings: Lori Ebright and Richard Ohl both of Bloomsburg: nieces and nephew: Ashley Ebright of Bloomsburg, Donna Ohl of Pottsville, and Gary Ohl of Bloomsburg.
A Celebration of Life will begin on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Continental Fire Co., 1 Meadow Lane, Danville, PA 17821. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Ohl family.
