Antonio Frazao, age 93, of Port Noble Drive, Bloomsburg, died on Thursday, September 30, 2010, a resident of Bloomsburg Health Care Center. Formerly of Bridgeport, Connecticut, he and his wife were residence of Bloomsburg since 1994. Antonio had been failing in health for the past four years.
Antonio was born on Friday, September 28, 1917 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, a son of the late Albino and Joaquina Perpetua Frazao. For most of his working career, he was a carpenter with the Carpenters Union of Connecticut until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of the St. Columba Catholic Parish in Bloomsburg.
He was preceded by a sister, Emilia Santos and a brother, Manuel Frazao.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Hortense Libania; a daughter: Alice Wilson and her husband, John, of Bloomsburg and a son: Arlindo Frazao and his wife, Mary Ann, of Bethel, Connecticut; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 7 at 1 p.m. from the St. Columba Catholic Church, Third and Iron Street in Bloomsburg with, Rev. Joseph H. Fennessy presiding.
Friends will be received at the church from 12 noon until the time of service. Graveside services will held in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
The Frazao family is being assisted by the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg.
