Anita M. (Richart) Peckne, age 74, of Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg, died on Saturday, May 30, 2015 in the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Health Care Center where she was admitted May 19. Anita had been ill for the past year.
Anita was born on Saturday, September 28, 1940 in Bloomsburg. She was one of twelve children of John and Amanda Gertrude (Runyon) Richart. Anita attended Bloomsburg schools and was of the Methodist faith.
Anita was employed for 25 years at the Bloomsburg Health Care Center. Most recently she served as Activities Co-coordinator. She retired in 2014.
On December 2, 2014, Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel A. Peckne. They were married 27 years.
Anita is survived by four siblings: Shirley Foust of Ft. Meyers FL, Patricia Hopper of Phoenixville PA, Sharon Long of Bloomsburg and Dennis Richart and wife, Mary, of Bloomsburg. Preceding were three sisters: Audrey Eichner, Julia Miller and Wilma Lagasse and four brothers: Eugene Runyon, Marlin Richart, William Richart and Chester Richart.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Peckne and Richart families.
