Angelina Frances Lapchak, age 84, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Tuesday morning, June 7, 2022, at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. Angelina was a resident of her home in Beaver Township for over 39 years.
She was born on Friday, April 8, 1938 in Baltimore, MD a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Vecchioni) Catalano. Angelina graduated from Patterson High School, Baltimore, MD. On May 30, 1959, Angelina married her loving husband, Nicholas Lapchak, Sr., who preceded her in death on October 17, 1996. She was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church, Sugarloaf. Angelina enjoyed sharing her love of learning with the students of the Bloomsburg Area School District as a Teacher's Aide for 27 years, until her retirement on January 2, 2017. She will be remembered for her faith and love of her family. She enjoyed books, crossword puzzles, gardening, baking, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Angelina was also preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis A. Lapchak on October 25, 1977.
Survivors include her three beloved children; daughter, Denise A. Moberly and husband Ralph, Sr. of Bloomsburg, daughter, Nora A. Ingram of Baltimore, MD, son, Nicholas G. Lapchak, Jr. and wife Tami of Danville, eight grandchildren; Ralph Moberly, Jr., Nicole Reedy and husband Saul, Daniel Ingram and wife Stephanie, Samantha Ingram, Jeffrey Ingram and wife Ashley, Andrew Ingram and wife Kiki, Kaylei Lapchak, Nicholas Lapchak, III, three great grandchildren; Isabella Reedy, Anthony Ingram, Josie Reedy, and a sister; Carmela Lapchak and husband Tom of East Stroudsburg.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 573 State Route 93, Sugarloaf with Rev. Richard J. Polmounter, celebrant. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg.
