In 1984, Amy completed her high school education after graduating from the West Branch High School in Philipsburg. She continued forward with her education at Bloomsburg University, and graduated in 1988 with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. In May of 2012, Amy advanced her education and knowledge to a higher level after completing her Master's as a Nurse Practitioner from Bloomsburg University.
On December 29, 1990, Amy married the love of her life of over 22 years, Robert F. Sitler, Jr. For over 25 years, Amy was employed as a Critical Care Nurse for Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, and since October of 2012 was also a Nurse Practitioner in the Neurology Department at Geisinger. She was a devoted member of the Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Bloomsburg and a former Consistory member of Trinity. Amy was a member of numerous Nursing Organizations including the Honors Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau. In the past, she dedicated as much time as possible in volunteering with the Bloomsburg Volunteer Ambulance Association. Amy loved spending time with her husband, children and yellow lab, T Bear. She was also an especially proud grandmother. Amy left many positive memories and will be deeply missed and cherished by all who knew her dedication, love and smile.
