Alverna M. Fenstemaker, age 96, of Millville, died on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, a patient of The Gardens at Millville in Millville. Alverna was a former resident of Berwick.

Alverna was born on Monday, March 12, 1923 in Berwick, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude Davis. Throughout her younger years, Alverna attended the Summer Hill one room school. For over 20 years, Alverna was employed by Baranol Garment until her retirement in 1988.

In addition to her parents, Alverna was also preceded by her husband of 56 years, Glen Fenstemaker on September 20, 2002, a daughter, Charlotte Michael, two grandsons: Gary Knorr and Douglas Knorr, a great granddaughter: Rachel Knorr and 6 siblings.

Survivors include her daughter: Glenda Baran and husband, John, of Millville, PA: four grandchildren: Kelli Morris and husband, Brian, of Millville, Paulette Olson and husband, Frank, of Millville, Adam Baran and wife, Melissa, of Boston, MA, and Brian Knorr of Orangeville, great grandchildren: Amanda, Nichole, Dakota, Cierra, Olivia, Megan, Sam, Lucas, Logan, and great great grandchildren: Vann and Axel, and a sister: Betty Andreas of GA.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 107 West Main at Railroad St., Millville.

Funeral Services will begin on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Robert W. Strozyk, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Summer Hill Cemetery, Berwick. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Fenstemaker family.
