Albin A. "Junior" Chupcavich, Jr., age 75, of Apple Avenue in Fernville, Bloomsburg died suddenly Sunday morning, February 20, 2011 at his residence. He was a resident of his home in Fernville for most of his adult life.
Albin was born on Sunday, January 5, 1936 in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Albin and Carrie Sites Chupcavich, Sr. For over ten years, he was employed by GIANT Food Stores in Bloomsburg and in Danville. He was a member of Glad Tiding Assembly of God Church in Bloomsburg and also a former member of the Bloomsburg Fire Company.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, the late Barbara Szeluga Chupcavich in April of 2006, and also a brother: Robert Chupcavich, Sr.
Survivors include two brothers: Ronald Chupcavich of Wilkes-Barre and William Chupcavich and his wife, Kay, of Berwick; two step-sons: Michael P. Siats of Danville and Joseph F. Siats of Schuylkill Haven; and a grandson: Ian Siats.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 24 at 11 a.m. from the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 706 Central Road, Bloomsburg with his pastor, Rev. John Kolenda, officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time service. Burial will be in Elan Memorial Park. Floral tributes are graciously declined.
