Alberta Edwards, age 76, a resident of 168 County Line Road, Danville died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at her residence. Formerly of Manhattan, NY; Centereach, Long Island; Delancey, NY; Benton, PA, and Leesburg, FL. Alberta was born July 18, 1932, in Manhattan, NY, the child of the late Albert E. Oeding and Gladys McIntosh. Following graduation of high school, Alberta attended Beautician School. Alberta was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Walton, NY, a member of the Bloomsburg Moose Lodge #623, and was also an avid bingo player.

Survived by her husband of 56 years Robert J. Edwards, one daughter: Victoria M. Becker and her husband, Gary, of Nineveh, NY; two sons: Robert L. Edwards and his wife, Amy, of Belport, NY; Albert R. Edwards and his wife, Colleen, of Delhi NY; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a brother: Albert R. Oeding and his wife, Brenda, of FL.
Friends will be received Saturday, December 27 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. from the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market Street at Eight Street. Bloomsburg. Graveside services will follow immediately at New Rosemont Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Fetterolf officiating. At the request of Alberta flowers are respectfully declined.
