Albert E. Kressler Jr., age 63, of Bloomsburg, died on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his family and under the care of Geisinger Columbia Montour Hospice. Albert was a resident of his home in Scott Township for over 30 years.
Albert was born on Wednesday, January 27, 1954 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Albert E. Kressler, Sr. and Betty (Johnson) Higgins. Throughout his younger years, Albert attended the Bloomsburg area schools, On April 18, 1986, Albert married his loving wife, Judy Long, of Bloomsburg. For over 30 years, Albert was employed by Bloomsburg Mills as an Supervisor. Currently he was employed by Big Heart Pet Brands for the past five years. Albert was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Espy. He was also a member of the Orangeville Sportsmans Club. Albert enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren as well as hunting, camping, and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Albert was also preceded by his step mother: Betty (Rockwell) Kressler; a sister: Linda Fester, and a step brother: Loren Stewart.
Survivors include his wife: Judy A. (Long) Kressler; children: Julie A. Pitchford (David Evans) of Bloomsburg, Tonia K. Bennett (Chris) of Clovis, CA, Kevin M. Kressler, Sr. (Christie), of Orangeville, Tracy Adams (Dustyn) of McClure, David W. Pitchford (Melissa) of Daniel's Island, SC, and Tanya Gardner (Chris) of Middleburg; 15 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings: Joan Underwood (William) of Millville, Barbara Doebler (Ed) of Linden, Kenneth Kressler (Denise) of Bloomsburg, Carol Montero of Harrisburg, and step brother: Harold Stewart (Judy) of Berwick, PA.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will continue at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., with his pastor, Rev. Gordon E. Smith, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Kressler family.
