Richard F. Hopper, age 73, of North Centre Twp., passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022, at The Gardens at Orangeville. He was born on Tuesday, February 8, 1949, in Almedia, a son of the late William and Madeline (Hittle) Hopper. Richard was raised by his late grandfather Richard D. Hopper and his housekeeper, the late Barbara Harter. He was last employed as a custodian for the Bloomsburg YMCA until his retirement. His YMCA family was very special to him. Richard was a member of ABATE of Pennsylvania, he loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, as well as watching old movies and television shows. Survivors include his sister, Bessie M. Bankes of Berwick, two nephews, Edward A. Bankes, David L. Bankes, and a niece, Melissa A. Long. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg. Funeral services will begin on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Michael Spagnuolo, pastor of Catawissa Christian Church, officiating. Private committal services will be held in Creveling Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Hopper family.
