Nancy M. Utt

October 18, 1922 - November 21, 2017

Nancy M. Utt, age 95, of Bloomsburg, died on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, a patient of the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village in Lewisburg. Nancy was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg for over 15 years. Nancy was born on Wednesday, October 18, 1922 in Optimus, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Ennis T. and Berniece (Mayfield) McClain. She graduated from Dell High School, Dell, Arkansas. On February 10, 1945, Nancy married her loving husband David E. Utt who preceded her in death on November 30, 2003. Nancy was employed as a seamstress for the former Racusin's Store, Bloomsburg for several years. She also worked at The Berwick Hospital as a switchboard operator and part time as a bank teller for First Eastern Bank in Mifflinville. Nancy was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg. She was also a former leader in 4 H organization, and an Adult Sunday School Teacher at St. John's Lutheran Church, Mifflinville. Nancy was a member of the Central Columbia School Board during the high school building process. Nancy and her husband enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the United States in their motor home. Nancy liked to fish, hunt, sew, shop and spend time with her grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers. Survivors include her five children D. Ronald Utt and wife Gail of Catawissa; Richard M. Utt of Mitchellsville, NY; Reginald E. Utt of Atlanta, GA; Gerald E. Utt of Schaumburg, IL and Susan wife of Joe Masana of Mifflinburg, four grandchildren David P. Utt and wife Gwen of Bloomsburg; Neil C. Bardo and wife Shanda of Millmont; Heather wife of Bruce Wevodau of Harrisburg; Amanda wife of A.J. Schuster of Bergenfield, NJ; 7 great grandchildren and a sister, Nadine Anderson of Atlanta, GA. A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday November 28, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9 St. Luke Way, Bloomsburg. Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at the St. Luke Lutheran Church with Rev. John E. Fenton, officiating. Graveside committal services will be private at the convenience of the family in Ikeler's Cemetery. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Utt family.
