Nancy J. Laubach

Nancy J. Laubach, age 81, of Bloomsburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior, in the early hours of Monday, October 15, 2018, a patient of the Select Specialty Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Nancy was a resident of Bloomsburg all of her life. She was born on Sunday, January 10, 1937 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late William T. and Mary E. (Kline) Haney. Throughout her younger years, Nancy attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1955. On September 30, 1955, Nancy married her loving husband, Gary E. Laubach. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother as well as a major source of strength for her entire family with an exuberant passion for each and every one of them. Her true passion was dedicating her life to her family and being surrounded by them whenever possible. For over 28 years, Nancy was employed by Bloomsburg Hospital in the Housekeeping Department until her retirement. Prior to this she was employed at Streeter's Flowers and Magee Carpet Company. Nancy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Espy. She also served as a volunteer of the Bloomsburg Hospital Auxiliary. Nancy enjoyed spending her time making and painting ceramics. In addition to her parents, Nancy was also preceded by two brothers, William "Bill" Haney, Wayne "Mike" Haney, a sister, Gloria Eyer, and a grandson, Shane Curtis Laubach. Survivors include her beloved husband of 63 years, Gary E. Laubach at home; a daughter, Chris D. wife of Douglas R. Roberts of West Springfield, MA; a son, Curtis G. Laubach of Bloomsburg; two granddaughters, Sharleen R. Roberts and fiance Josh Knorr of Bloomsburg; and Shannon M. Laubach of Bloomsburg, a great grandson, Aiden M. Knorr; a brother, James Haney and wife Bonnie Kay of Numidia; a sister, Judy wife of Edward Gappa of Elysburg, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg. Funeral Services will begin on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Kelly Kocher Ross and Rev. Henry Shaffer, officiating.
