September 23, 1992 - October 1, 2016

Brandon C. Hoyes , age 24, of Bloomsburg, died on Saturday, October 1, 2016, in Bloomsburg. Brandon was a life long resident of Bloomsburg. Brandon was born on Wednesday, September 23, 1992 in Danville, a son of Tara R. Hoyes. Throughout his younger years, Brandon attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 2011 where he was a member of the High School Baseball Team. Brandon expanded his education by attending Annapolis School of Seamanship, Annapolis MD, where he obtained a Captain's Certificate. He was a Commercial Fisherman. When in Bloomsburg Brandon attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Danville. He was a member of the Washington Lodge #265 F&AM, Bloomsburg. Brandon enjoyed spending his time fishing, hiking, camping, he was an avid outdoorsman. Brandon was preceded by his maternal grandfather, Herbert C. Hoyes. Survivors include his mother, Tara R. Hoyes and companion, Chris Kocher of Bloomsburg, brothers: Jordan Hoyes, Jack Seely and Cameron Seely, all of Bloomsburg, grandmother, Kay (Reibsome) Hoyes of Bloomsburg, grandmother, Belinda (Coffman) Seely of Bloomsburg, grandfather, Larry Seely of Bloomsburg and grandmother, Gail Kocher of Hunlock Creek; aunt: Megan Fleetwood and husband, Seth, of Bloomsburg and uncles: James Hoyes and wife, Catherine, of Bloomsburg; David Hoyes and wife, Karen, Georgetown, DE, Todd Seely of Bloomsburg, Jerry Kocher and wife, Susan, of Camp Hill and Jed Kocher and wife, Rebecca, of Hunlock Creek. A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg. Funeral Services will begin on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 306 Lombard St., Danville, with Rev. Ronald French, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Hoyes family.
