Alan C. Chapin

January 3, 1967 - March 13, 2022

Alan C. Chapin, age 55, of Catawissa, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. Alan was a resident of his home in Locust Twp. for over 9 years. He was born on Tuesday, January 3, 1967, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Carol A. (Gordon) Chapin. Alan graduated from the Benton High School in 1987. For over 27 years, Alan was employed by Autoneum, Bloomsburg in the maintenance department. He enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, going to flea markets, riding motorcycles and especially being with his grandchildren. In addition to his mother, Alan was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffery A. Reichenbach and a brother-in-law, Ryan Sitler. Survivors include his beloved partner of ten years, Tammy L. Keefer of Catawissa, four children; Carl A. Chapin and wife Sara of Bloomsburg, Travis A. Chapin of Middleburg, Cody Keefer and wife Meranda of Danville, Carina Miller of Bloomsburg, ten grandchildren; Ty Chapin, Trey Chapin, Carter Chapin, Dalton Reichenbach, Colten Reichenbach, Austin Heddings, Bradley Miller, Jamie Miller, Bentley Keefer and Ashlyn Houseweart. Alan is also survived by his four siblings: Brian Chapin and wife Melanie of Mears, VA, Janet Chapin of Mears, VA, Susan Sitler of Bloomsburg, and Jill Laubach and husband Chris of Orangeville, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and one nephew. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Chapin and Keefer families.
