Ronald G. Chandler, age 69, Millville, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, in the Hospice Facility of Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport. He had been a patient for two weeks.
Ron was born Nov. 25, 1944, in Kankakee, Ill., a son of the late Thomas and Erma Dell (Porter) Chandler. After graduating from the Kankakee High School in 1962, Ron continued his education at Buena Vista College where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree. Most of his working life Ron was a self-employed businessman. He was owner and operator of Quality Care Plus Pet Products. He was a member of Millville Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Survivors include his wife, Diane (Hogrefe) Chandler, with whom he would have celebrated a 50th
wedding anniversary on Jan. 14. Also surviving are one daughter, Jari Farr, and husband, Monte, of Millville; two sons: Tony Chandler of Guyman, Okla.; and Michael Chandler and wife, Amy, of
Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren; and two sisters: Dodie Richard of Kankakee, Ill.; and Carole Sarna of Bakersfield, Calif.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 107 W. Main at Railroad streets, Millville. Funeral services will begin at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with his pastor, the Rev. Rich Plocinski, officiating.
