Randy J. Parker

Randy J. Parker, age 36, of Bloomsburg, died on Tuesday evening, May 8, 2012 a patient at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Randy was born on Tuesday, December 16, 1975 in Danville, a son of Chris and Kay (Lupini) Parker of Bloomsburg. He received his education from Central Columbia High School throughout his younger years. For over 10 years, he was employed by SkateTown in Bloomsburg, and most recently was employed by D&R Sports Center until 2004. He was a member of the Catawissa First United Methodist Church. He was a devoted member of the Espy Fire Company as well as a member of the Bloomsburg Archery Club. Randy achieved many accomplishments throughout his life, but his favorite enjoyment was fishing with his father. Randy was a competitive paintball player and rollerskater. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, playing in his pool league, being a DJ, riding snowmobiles and ATV’s and Go-Karts as a child. He also enjoyed spending his afternoons and evenings working in the garden and cooking for his family. He also enjoyed playing cards and camping with friends and family. Randy’s favorite love was spending time with his family, friends and his beloved pets. Randy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Ted and Diora Parker. Surviving, in addition to his parents, is his beloved wife of nine years, Megan (Smith) Parker, having been married on May 10, 2003; a sister: Nikki Poe and husband, Wayne, of Bloomsburg; and two nieces: Lauren and Kayla Poe; as well as his In-laws: Ted and Karleen Smith, of Bloomsburg, and brother-in-law: Ted Smith III and wife, Maria, and children of Indianapolis, IN. A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 14 at 11 a.m. at the Catawissa First United Methodist Church, 228 South Street in Catawissa with his pastor, Rev. Jake Woodward, officiating. Graveside services will immediately follow the funeral services on Monday. Memorial contributions in Randy’s name are suggested to: the Catawissa First United Methodist Church, 228 S.
