Obituary

Thelma E. Gulliver, age 89, of Bloomsburg died on Tuesday evening, March 27, 2012, a resident of Bloomsburg Health Care Center since 2011. She was also a resident of her home on Poplar Street in Bloomsburg for over 39 years.
Thelma was born on Friday, August 25, 1922 in Mountain Grove, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Amos and Wilda (Roach) Rittenhouse. In 1940, she completed her education after graduating from the Rock Glenn High School. Following her education, she was employed by the former Bloomsburg Mills, Inc. as a Quiller for over 40 years until retiring in 1987. During her younger years, while residing in Mountain Grove, she was a member of the Mountain Grove Lutheran Church. While living Bloomsburg, she has been a faithful member of the St. Mathew Lutheran Church.
In 1969, she was preceded by her beloved husband, Edward Gulliver.
Survivors include her siblings: Leonard Rittenhouse of Oil City, PA; Ida Magill of Schuylkill Haven, PA; Robert Rittenhouse of Weatherly, PA and Roy Rittenhouse of Lillian, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 123 N. Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Rev. Joel L. Zeiders, officiating. Friends will be received in the Chapel just prior to services on Saturday morning.
