Terry L. Rishel, age 75, of Millville, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021, at St. Joseph's Hospital North, Lutz, FL.
He was born on Saturday, September 22, 1945 in West Reading, a son of the late Homer and Eleanor (Evans) Rishel. Terry graduated from the Valley Forge Military Academy in 1963. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in July, 1967. On September 26, 1970, Terry married his loving wife, the former Beverly J. Kirkhoff. For over 27 years, Terry was employed by Pennsylvania Power & Light, as a Serviceman until his retirement in 2000. Terry loved the outdoors and nature. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, trap shooter and golfer. He ran the hunter clay shoots at North Montour Sportsman's Club for many years and worked at the PA State Trap Shoot, Elysburg as a trap mechanic and online supervisor. He was the 2018 Florida state nonresident trapshooting champion. Terry and his wife Beverly were "snowbirds" spending winters at their home in Florida.
In addition to his parents, Terry was also preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Hollen in 2015.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Beverly J. Rishel, three children; Heather wife of Lee Koser of Muncy, Dawn wife of Jason Fisher of Mechanicsburg, Jed Rishel and wife Carla of Millville, six grandchildren; Makenna Koser, Jayla Koser, Kylee Fisher, Kendal Fisher, Bailey Kaiser, Bodhi Rishel, as well as his faithful dog, Baxter.
Graveside services will begin on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Jerseytown Cemetery with Rev. Micah Felber, officiating. Following the graveside services, family and friends are invited to The Jerseytown Community Center, 29 Jerseytown Road, for a time of fellowship. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 107 West Main at Railroad Streets, Millville, PA is honored to be serving the Rishel family.
