Sherry L. (McKinney) Weaver, age 56, of Danville, died on Wednesday morning, July 19, 2017, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Sherry was a resident of her home in Danville for three years.
Sherry was born on Tuesday, October 11, 1960 in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Robert McKinney and Shirley (Musser) Kressler. Sherry graduated from the Shamokin Area High School in 1978. On May 28, 1998, Sherry married her loving husband, Martin D. Weaver, formerly of Montgomery. For over three years, Sherry was employed by the Bloomsburg Health Care Center as a Certified Nursing Aide until her retirement on February 1, 2011. Sherry attended the Lightstreet United Methodist Church for many years. Sherry also enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren, loved cooking and baking for her family and friends.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 19 years, Martin D.Weaver of Danville; two daughters: Kristine A. Smith and husband, Reese C., Sr., of Stillwater and Shannon M. Creveling and husband, Cody, of Bloomsburg; three grandsons: Mason R. Creveling of Trucksville, Reese C. Smith, Jr. of Stillwater, and , Keisel S. Creveling of Bloomsburg; a granddaughter, Jeannetta S. Smith of Stillwater; two brothers, Michael S. McKinney and wife, Lettie, of Sunbury and Daniel S. McKinney of Shamokin, and her step-father, Russell L. Kressler of Bloomsburg.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 25 from 1 to 2 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday afternoon, July 25 at 2 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. in Bloomsburg with Rev. Jennifer Parks-Snyder, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Weaver family.
