Paul M. Masteller, age 82, of South Rail Road St., Bloomsburg died Sunday March 6, 2011 in the Columbia Montour home Health Hospice as Maria Hall where he resided since Feb 8. Paul had been in failing health for several years.
Born on Monday, December 31, 1928, in Rock Glenn, Paul was a son of the late Charles and Sula Johnson Masteller. He attended the Rock Glenn School and was a former member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg.
After 42 years of employment at Magee Carpet Co., Paul retired in 1989. He was a Weaver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Mace Masteller in 1962. Also, a brother: Leonard Masteller and a sister: Doris Hess preceded him.
Survivors include two sons: Jerry P. Masteller of Womelsdorf and James C. Masteller and wife, Barbara, of Bloomsburg; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren and one brother: Russell Masteller of Conyngham.
Friends will be received Wednesday, March 9 from 10 to 11 am at the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Hospice Chaplain, Rev. Donald L. Snyder, officiating. Burial will be in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
