Matthew C. Cadwallader, age 33, of Bloomsburg, died on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in the loving care of his parents at his home.
Matthew was born on Monday, April 9, 1979 in Geisinger Medical Center, a son of Russel and Darl (Riggs) Cadwallader. During his younger years, Matthew attended the Bloomsburg Elementary School and graduated in 2000 from the Berwick High School. He attended St. Matthew Lutheran Church with his parents, also participated at the EOS Therapeutic Riding Center in Buckhorn. He worked at SUNCOM Potential in Bloomsburg. Matthew had a vast love for John Deere tractors, watching trucks, horseback riding with friends and staff at EOS, and also was a member of the Boy Scouts. Although Matthew had many obstacles in his life, he will always be remembered for his wonderful smile and the joy and love he brought to his parents lives.
In addition to his parents, Matthew is survived by three caregivers who played a large role in is his life: Stephanie Crowsley of Berwick; Jannet Poe of Sunbury; and Kevin Bish of Millville. Also surviving is an aunt: Marlene Vance of Benton; four uncles: James Riggs and wife, Saralee, of Lancaster; Bruce Cadwallader and wife, Floss, of Berwick; Wayne Cadwallader of Allentown; and Harry Cadwallader of Benton; and six cousins: Emily and Katharine Riggs, and Brooke, Bruce and Brian Cadwallader.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Monday, January 7 at 1 p.m. from the St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 123 N. Market Street, Bloomsburg with Rev. Dr. Joel L. Zeiders, officiating. Graveside services will follow immediately in Lime Ridge.
