Lucinda M. Maxwell, age 59, of Catawissa, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at her home in Catawissa. She was surrounded by her family and under the care of Columbia Montour Hospice. Lucinda was a resident of her home in Catawissa for over 10 years.
Lucinda was born on Wednesday, June 5, 1957 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late John H. and Anna Mae (Huber) Robbins. Throughout her younger years, Lucinda attended the Bloomsburg area schools and later graduated from the Columbia Montour AVTS in 1976. For many years, Lucinda was employed by Quality Inn of Buckhorn in the Housekeeping Department until her retirement. She was a member of the Catawissa Christian Church
In addition to her parents, Lucinda was also preceded by her husband, Solomon Maxwell, on August 21, 2001.
Survivors include six children: Shannon M. Maxwell (Terry Mordan) of Bloomsburg; Joel E. Maxwell of Bloomsburg; Katie A. Kennedy (Jeremy) of Berwick; JayJ Maxwell of Tampa, FL; Shana K. Glenney of Catawissa; Melissa A. Irwin (David) of Berwick; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and three siblings: Paul H. Robbins (Diana Rupert) of Bloomsburg, Bonnie Lizardi of Bloomsburg and John D. Robbins (Bert) of Bloomsburg.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 29, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with her pastor, Rev. Michael C. Spagnuolo, Sr,. officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Maxwell family.
