Linda L. Drumheller , age 69, of Bloomsburg, lost her battle with cancer on Saturday, October 7, 2017, surrounded by her family, at her Bloomsburg home where she had resided her entire life.
Linda was born on Friday, February 6, 1948 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Joe R. and Verna B. (Ohl) Kressler. Throughout her younger years, Linda attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1967.
For over 26 years, Linda was employed by Laubach/NAPA Auto Parts as a Secretary until her retirement in March 2010. She was also a representative for Avon for over 35 years.
Linda was a 50 year member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. She was also a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed spending her time traveling with family and friends, was an avid reader, and following retirement, she became an active member of the Bloomsburg YMCA.
In addition to her parents, Linda was also preceded by her husband David E. Drumheller on September 4, 1998.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Amy Jo Drumheller of Lancaster, Julie A. Schechterly and husband Robert R., IV of Bloomsburg, and Stephanie L. Drumheller and companion, James I. Walsh of Bloomsburg: two grandchildren: Kaitlyn J. Schechterly and companion, Devon D. Fidrick, of Bloomsburg, and Cpl. Robert R. Schechterly, V, stationed with the US Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune NC and a sister: Trudy Cosner and husband, Robert, of Lake Havasu City, AZ.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will continue at 10:00 am with Rev. Dr. Gary D. Weaver, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Drumheller family.
