Obituary

Linda G. Booth, age 64, of 8 Bittersweet Drive, Bloomsburg, died Monday, October 19, at her residence. She had been struggling in health for several years prior to her passing. She is formerly of the Chicago area and resided in Bloomsburg for the past three years. Linda was born Friday, February 2, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, the only daughter of the late Elmer and Grace (Benson) Dahlgren. She was a 1963 graduate of the Morgan Park High School in Chicago. She also graduated in 1967 from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois where she obtained her Teaching Degree. Linda was an elementary teacher her entire working career until her retirement in 2004. She was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg, a former long-time member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Chicago and a member of the National Education Association. Linda is survived by two daughters: Carrie Zeisloft and her husband, Jeff, Bloomsburg; Sara Hons and her husband, Scott, Bloomsburg; a son: Tod Booth and his wife, Angela, Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren: Olivia, Luke and Alex Zeisloft, Alyssa and Ryleigh Booth, Ryan and Reese Hons and two brothers: John Dahlgren and his wife, Suzanne, Oakland, CA and Leonard Dahlgren and his wife, Cynthia, Kent City, MI. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 10 a.m. from the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 9401 South Oakley, Chicago, IL. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Chicago. Friends will be received Monday, October 26 from 5 to 8 at the McGann Funeral Home, 10727 Pulaski Road, Chicago. The Booth Family is being assisted by the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. Memorial contributions in Linda's name are suggested to: American Cancer Society, Columbia County Unit, 1948 E. Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
