Lester G. Kile, age 54, of Bloomsburg, died unexpectedly on Monday morning, April 28, 2014 at his residence in Main Township.
Lester was born on Thursday, March 10, 1960 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Carl G. and Margaret E. (Hittle) Kile, Sr. Throughout his younger years, Lester attended and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1979. Lester was employed throughout much of Columbia County, but most recently by the former Bloomsbury Dye Company in Bloomsburg. Lester was an avid fan of NASCAR and also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Lester will always be remembered for his huge heart.
In addition to his parents, Lester was preceded by two brothers: Larry and Kenny Kile; three sisters: Helen Sizemore, Betty Long and Grace Hickey; four half-brothers: Carl Kile, Jr., Harry, Jay and Harold Kile; and three half-sisters: Dorothy Kile, Helen Huckleberry and Geraldine Mussleman.
Survivors include three brothers: Richard D. Kile and wife, Brenda, of Danville; Leroy W. Kile and wife, Laura, of Catawissa; and John L. Kile of Benton; a sister: Patsy Zinn and husband, John, of Bloomsburg; two half-sisters: Beverly Stewart and Shirley Eves; and numerous nephews and nieces.
A Graveside committal service will be held on Friday morning, May 2 at 10 a.m. in the Canby Lutheran Church Cemetery, 529 Millertown Road, Bloomsburg with Rev. Craig D. Laidacker of the Bloomsburg Baptist Church, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Kile family.
