Kathleen M. Yost, age 85, of Fox Hollow Road, Bloomsburg, died on Wednesday, August 8, 2012.
Kathleen was born on Saturday, February 26, 1927 in Lairdsville, a daughter of the late Charles R. and Marie (Stafford) Welliver, Sr. Throughout her earlier years, she attended school at the former Scott School. From 1978 to 1980, she was employed as a cook at Good Old Days Restaurant in Bloomsburg, and most recently by J.J. Mike Produce until her retirement in October of 1997.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her late husband, William R. Yost on June 1, 1996. She was also preceded by a son: Douglas R. Yost in 1956; a sister: S. Margaret Wommer; and two brother: Charles R. Welliver, Jr. and Robert S. Welliver.
Survivors include three daughters: Pamela M. Kline and husband, Terry, of Berwick; Kathy I. Yost of Bloomsburg; Joy M. Mowery and husband, Thomas, of Tamaqua; a son: Shawn D. Yost and wife, Tabitha, of Bloomsburg; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters; also surviving is a sister: Shirley J. Reifendifer of Millville.
Private Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 13, from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg with Rev. Dennis G. Dalessandro, of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Private Graveside services will be held in Lightstreet Highland Cemetery.
