Jose Enrique Torres, age 60, of Montour Boulevard, Bloomsburg, died May 26, 2011 at his residence. He was a resident on Montour Boulevard for over 20 years.
Jose was born on Tuesday, December 5, 1950 in Puerto Rico, a son of the late Heriberto and Carlita (Sanchez) Torres. For over 11 years, he was employed by the former Catawissa Lumber & Specialty Co., Inc. and currently the Catawissa Wood and Components Inc. in Catawissa.
Survivors include a daughter: Jessica Torres of Bloomsburg and a son: Joseph Torres also of Bloomsburg; three grandchildren: Trysten, Xavier and Alex; Mother of his children: Jill Beyer-Torres of Bloomsburg; a brother locally: Juan Torres and wife, Cheryl, of Catawissa; and the remaining siblings reside currently in Puerto Rico.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 3 at 5 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg with Rev. Joel L. Zeiders, of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, officiating.
