Howard L. McCloughan, age 85, of Millville Rd. Bloomsburg died unexpectedly Saturday, April 30. 2011 at his home.
Howard was the only child of the late Warren and Velma Hartzell McCloughan. He attended the Bloomsburg High School and served with the US Army Air Corp during World War II.
Most of his working career Howard was a truck driver. He was last employed by the former Freedman Trucking of Bloomsburg. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Bloomsburg Moose and Ft. McClure Post 804 VFW.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Grace (Long) McCloughan, a daughter: Sandra K. McCloughan , a son: William W. McCloughan; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Preceding him in death were two sons: Warren Larue McCloughan in 1994 and David Lee McCloughan in 1972.
Friend will be received Tuesday, May 3 from 10 am until time of services at Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg. Funeral services will begin at 11 am with Rev. Jay E. Jones, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Creveling Cemetery, Espy.
