Grace L. McCloughan , age 89, of Bloomsburg, died on Thursday, June 2, 2016, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Grace was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg for over 70 years.
Grace was born on Monday, February 14, 1927 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Isaac and Alvaretta "Retta" (Swisher) Long . Throughout her younger years, Grace attended the Bloomsburg area schools. On November 25, 1947, Grace married her loving husband, Howard L. McCloughan who died April 30, 2011.
Grace enjoyed spending her time playing cards and gardening.
In addition to her parents, Grace was also preceded by two sons, Warren Larue McCloughan and David Lee McCloughan and siblings: Hazel, Gene, Miriam, Harry, Frank, and Cora.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra K. McCloughan of Bloomsburg, PA, son, William W. McCloughan of Bloomsburg, PA, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brother, Ellis Long of Bloomsburg, PA, and brother, Myron and wife, Debbie, Long of Millville, PA.
Graveside Services will begin on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at 11:00 am in the Creveling Cemetery, Bloomsburg with Rev. Dr. Gary D. Weaver, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church,
Bloomsburg, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the McCloughan family.
