Evelyn S. Huntington, age 77, a resident of Balance Care, Bloomsburg since March 2010 and a former resident of Danville, died Friday, March 25, 2011, in Geisinger Medical Center where she was admitted Sunday.
Evelyn was born, October 29, 1933 in Danville a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Mottern Shultz. She was a 1951 graduate of the Danville High School and was a member of the Shiloh United Church of Christ, Danville
Preceding her in death was her husband, Donald Huntington on February 1, 2009 and her daughter for whom she provided special care for over 49 years, Dona Huntington, on May 22, 2006.
Survivors include a son: Alan S. Huntington and wife, Kelly, of Catawissa; a granddaughter: Becky Gallup of Catawissa, a grandson: Kenneth Huntington of Bridgeport PA and two great granddaughters: Hailey and Aleisha.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Reformed Cemetery, Danville. The Huntington family is being assisted by the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Danville SPCA, 2801 Old Bloom Rd., Danville 17821.
