Donna L. Brobst, age 57, of VFW Home Lane, Catawissa, went home to be with her savior on Monday, May 2, 2011 at her home. She was a resident of her Catawissa Twp. home for 33 years and formerly had lived on Old Berwick Rd., Bloomsburg. She had been ill for 4 ½ years.
Donna was born December 12, 1953 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Doyle and Dora (Bower) Diltz. She was a 1971 graduate of the Millville High School. For 25 years she was employed at Geisinger Medical Center in the Patient Accounts Dept. and was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Millville. She was an active volunteer at the Catawissa Senior Center.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Ronald E. Brobst. Also surviving are three children: Aaron Brobst and Jeremiah Brobst both of Catawissa and Karen, wife of Gene Burdette, of Florida; three grandchildren: Katheryn Burdette, Annamarie Burdette and Ellie Burdette; a sister: Diane, wife of Mike Keller of Danville and a brother: Daniel Diltz of Danville.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg and on Thursday, from 9 am until the time of services at 10 am in Emmanuel Baptist Church, St. Rt. 254, Millville. Her pastor, Rev. Timothy Valiante, will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Catawissa.
