Charles J. Inman, age 68, of Catherine Street, Bloomsburg died unexpectedly on Friday, February 3, 2012 at his residence where he had resided the past five years. Charles was a 30 year resident of Bloomsburg.
Charles was born on Saturday, January 1, 1944 in Pleasantville, NJ, a son of Mary McGurk Inman. He was raised by his grandmother, the late Deliverance McGurk. Charles attended school in New Jersey and served with the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed by the Press Enterprise for 15 years and last served as a distance carrier, until retiring in 2006. He was of the Catholic faith.
On July 21, 1984, he married Patricia Lacey Inman, who survives. Also surviving are seven children: Karen Inman of Florida; Marianne Inman of Cape May, New Jersey; Charles "Buddy" Inman, Jr. of Atlantic City, NJ; Lorli Inman of Korea; Darren Inman of New Jersey; Gerard "Jerry" Lacey and wife, Tara, of Mt. Carmel; and James "Jim" Lacey and wife, Erica, of Bloomsburg; and his twin sister: Della Inman of Berwick; as well as 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
On December 13, 2011, Charles was preceded in death by a daughter: Julie Lacey.
A time of visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, February 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg. At the request of the family, there will be no public funeral services.
